Bill Gurley wrote his (to me) classic piece “Can Napster Be Stopped? NO!” in April 2000, and while Napster itself was taken to the vet, Gurley’s tech prediction is still on the mark. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw the headline "New IBM chipset downloads HD movies in a single second."
